Great Planes RV-4
This is Bill's GP RV-4, built from a kit in his usual perfectionist style.  It's a fun sport plane and usually draws a few comments at the field.  A conservative color scheme lends to the semi-scale appearance.

Building Impressions:

*The kit went together well, typical of Great Planes kits.
*Managed to mess up one wing during the build, GP sent a replacement at no charge - nice!
*Opted for 4-servo wing with flaps and ailerons so we could play with crow, flaps, etc.

Flying Impressions:

*This is a fun sport plane.  At 6.5 lbs it's a bit heavy for any serious 3D or aerobatic work, but it's a heck of a lot of fun to zoom around with, and the flaps make short takeoffs and landings easy.
*Obviously the Saito .71 sounds cool, like all Saitos.  It provides  good power and adds to the scale effect.

Unfortunately, we had a bit of a hangar rash incident..

..which resulted in the need for a rudder repair and re-cover.

Nice, straight-forward color scheme.

The Saito is so pretty it's a shame to cover it up with the cowl...which is being repainted.
