Goldberg Falcon 56 Mk. II
This was my first R/C airplane, I built it from a kit when I was about 12.  I delivered a lot of newspapers to pay for this plane.  I don't remember all the details, except that I was terrified that I would crash it.  All of the pictures below are from the old Scottsdale Community College field, in Scottsdale, AZ.

Initial Impressions:

This kit took me about 3 months to build.  It went together pretty well using plain 'ol wood glue.  I remember that the smooth plastic strip hinges came loose on the 2nd flight, I had to go back and pin them in place.  Other than that, I don't remember too much about it..

Flying Impressions:

Again, this was a long time ago.  I recall that my instructor thought it a bit "hot" for a trainer.  It flew fine with 3 channels.  We probably put 15 flights on the plane before it succumbed to Controlled Flight into Terrain on one of my first takeoff attempts.

Flight Prep:  This plane had an airfoiled horizontal stab, an unusual feature in smaller models even today.

Buddy boxes!?!  We don't need no stinking buddy boxes!
